Fra pochi giorni Rossella ed io torneremo in Iran e sarà la seconda volta che visitiamo questo meraviglioso paese. Questo mi dà lo spunto per pubblicare alcune foto del primo viaggio del settembre 2017.
Ormai lo sappiamo tutti che è un paese estremamente ospitale, colto e davvero gradevole da visitare. Tutto questo è così piacevole da scoprire, che il nostro primo viaggio è risultato davvero influenzato da questa sensazione. Ora avremo tempo e modo per poter raccontare con più profondità la vita nel paese. Saremo aiutati in questo da alcune persone che saranno preziosi interlocutori per capire e per conoscere maggiormente i problemi e le contraddizioni del paese, così come i lati inaspettati e poco conosciuti della società iraniana.
Certo la situazione internazionale non è migliorata, anzi. Le tensioni nella regione sono sempre più alte e l’attuale amministrazione americana si è distinta per l’aggressività dimostrata nei confronti del governo iraniano. Le sanzioni imposte dagli Stati Uniti, nonostante la palese contrarietà dell’Europa, danneggiano gravemente l’economia del paese. Gli effetti sono evidenti e la popolazione ne paga drammaticamente le conseguenze. Tutto questo non può influenzare positivamente la necessaria modernizzazione e il processo riformista di cui il paese ha bisogno.
Ora finalmente il viaggio è imminente: alcuni giorni a Tehran per poter svolgere i servizi che mi sono prefissato e poi giù verso sud in direzione Hormuz per visitare le isole del Golfo Persico.
Del prossimo viaggio permettetemi di non dire di più: parliamo piuttosto della mia borsa fotografica. Da sempre infatti ritengo e sostengo che “fare la borsa” sia una degli elementi fondamentali per la buona riuscita del reportage che ci si appresta a realizzare. Oggi sono aiutato dall’esperienza del viaggio precedente. Confermo la scelta della mia “fujina” con tre splendide ottiche fisse e ultraluminose. Il tutto mi dà molte possibilità compositive e non mi distrugge la spalla. In più, il sofisticato look classico e quasi vintage della mia mirrorless non spaventa i miei soggetti come invece farebbe una normale SRL. Non tralasciate questo dettaglio, perchè risulta sempre fondamentale e molto prezioso per mettere a loro agio le persone.
Mi accorgo di aver impaginato in questa occasione una quantità di immagini che ritraggono le donne. No, non è un errore. Le donne sono sicuramente la parte più innovativa e avanzata di questo paese. La loro forza appare in modo molto evidente. Sono aperte, curiose e spesso spavalde nel rivestire un ruolo che risulterà essenziale nel progresso di questo paese. Vedendoci nelle loro città, nei loro villaggi, spesso invitano i figli ad avvicinarci per scambiare qualche parola in inglese perchè ogni occasione è importante per comunicare tra le genti.

In a few days Rossella and I will return to Iran, the second time
we visit this wonderful country.
This plan gives me the opportunity to publish some photos of the
first trip in September 2017.
Now we all know that this country is extremely hospitable,
cultured and really enjoyable to visit and all this is so
pleasant to discover, that our first trip was really
influenced by this feeling. Now we will have time and way
to be able to tell more about life in the country. We will
be helped in this by some people who will be precious
interlocutors to understand the problems and contradictions
of the country, as well as the unexpected sides of Iranian
society.
Of course, the international situation has not improved,
indeed.
Tensions in the region are getting higher and higher and
the current
US administration has stood out for its aggression towards
the Iranian government. The sanctions imposed by the
United States,despite the obvious contrariness of Europe,
seriously damage the economy of the country. The effects
are obvious and the population dramatically pays the
consequences. All of this can't positively influence the
necessary modernization and reformist process that the
country needs.
Now finally the journey is imminent: a few days in Tehran
to be able to carry out the services I have set and then
down south towards Hormuz to visit the islands of the
Persian Gulf.
On the next trip let me say no more: let's talk about my
camera bag.
In fact, I actually believe that "preparing the bag"
is one of the fundamental elements for the success of the
reportage that we are about to make. Today I am helped
by the experience of theprevious trip. I confirm the choice
of my "fujina" with three splendid fixed and ultra-bright
optics. All this gives me many compositional possibilities
and doesn't destroy my shoulder.
In addition, the sophisticated classic and almost vintage
look of my mirrorless doesn't scare my subjects as it would
do a normal SRL.
Do not forget this detail, because it is very
valuable to get people on a confort zone.
I realize that I have put on this occasion a number of
portraits of women. No, it isn't a mistake. Women are
definitely the most innovative and advanced part of
this country. Their strength appears very clearly.
They are open, curious and often brave in playing a
role that will be essential in the progress of this
country.
In their cities, their villages, they often invite
their children to approach us to exchange a few words
in English because every occasion is important to
communicate among the peoples.
